Your guide

 on this journey

& what you can expect from me.

I am Rev. Foxxy Pullen, a Druid, a Clergy woman, and an University educated student in Comparative Studies: Indigenous Religions among other things. For the past 15 years it has been my passion to share my 30 years of knowledge to help others avoid some of the pitfalls I have seen made time and again, and to overcome barriers -self or societally imposed- on their own spiritual journey.

 I have spent countless hours with students at all stages of  their journey to ensure their success in previous,  less formal, classes, and witnessed incredible transforma-tions when these techniques are put to work. Now, I’m looking to bring this to the next level by going professional

This pilot course starts November 10th , with an intermission for the holidays. Classes meet on Discord, an internet, digital-audio server, which allows us to talk or type. This Discord channel has a Classroom, a room available 24/7 for discussions and a designated homework help room.

We will meet weekly for 75-90 minutes. You are expected to spend a similar amount of time between classes to do homework. Day ( Sun- Wed) and time (probably 9:15-9:30 EST) are somewhat flexible. Please indicate what days you would prefer, in order of preference, when you sign up below. The seating is limited to 12. and the cost for the pilot course is $150,or $10 a week.   Similar courses online cost $500 and well into the thousands.

I look forward to watching your confidence bloom, resiliency develop, and relish your growth.

Expect questions: I'm a guide; but this is your journey. I will:

  • Coax, poke, or prod to get you off your mental butt in order to support your progress;

  • Give you homework- often mental – weekly;

  • Give you my full attention during class and be accessible via Facebook or Discord|

  • Check Discord for messages or questions daily.

This generic course is open to any background, faith, or skill level.

I am happy to address all your questions on Facebook, below or FoxxyzCreationz@gmail.com.

Student   ~  Teacher    Covenant

          I, the student, will:

  • Come to class on time, prepared, and attentive;

  • Be present, patient, and participate, not sit passively;

  • Recognize there are many approaches to the same goals and relish the differences;

  • Ask questions until I understand the answer, for there are no stupid questions;

  • Be mindful that other may not learn at the same pace or manner that I do.

  • Be open to a challenge - for stretching is how we grow.

  • If I encounter problems with homework, I will seek help that day, not wait until class time;

  • If I must miss a class I will do my best to give advance notice, and accept responsibility for catching up.

          I, the teacher, will:

  • Be on time, present and attentive by class time;

  • Be available during the week to answer questions that may arise;

  • Be patient and understanding that not everyone's mind works the same way;

  • Listen to my students' statements and their questions, for from them I learn!

  • Be grateful for what my students teach me.

  • Offer generic information, defining what specific information is path-related;

  • Do my best to answer questions, and if I cannot I will say so and suggest alternative resources;

  • If I must be absent, I will notify the class and/or offer a substitute;

What a stupid question

      If you have had this said to you, I am sincerely sorry.  It is demeaning, cruel, makes the querent feel badly about themselves and may stop the learning process cold.

      One asks questions because something is unclear. The more unclear something is, the more questions will be needed to clarify it. Think about young kids, especially between the ages of 2 and 4. They are constantly asking questions. Why? Because that's how human beings learn..
       When something is unclear, and you don't ask for a clarification, not only have you lost an opportunity to solidify that idea in your head, you are probably losing a building block for what ever comes afterwards.  Consider, how well would a house hold up if bricklayers left out every 20th block?
       That's just one type of 'not stupid' question.  When you're lost it is altogether possible so is every everyone else.  If no one has the guts to say “Whoa.  Back up.  Replay please”  then what?  A building block is missing.  I've seen it happen, It has even happened to me.  What I'm saying may make perfect sense to me, but if it doesn't to you, SAY SO. The question you ask, no matter how poorly phrased you may think it is, often triggers others to say “Me too,” or “Yeah” or to ask their own question, building on the query you initiated.  When three or four people ask concentric or overlapping questions, it helps the instructor target a better understanding of where the confusion lies.  At that point s/he can address the underlying confusion.
      Questions may sometimes be 'silly' – like the day I had a brain-fart and asked my mother if 'of' was spelled 'ov' or 'ove' since oven was o-v-e-n ( yeah, really, a philosophy paper!)   Or when you answer the phone and someone says “Are you awake?” (Answer: “No I'm sleep-talking.”)   Sometimes one asks foolish questions: Was that lightning?“ (as the thunder rumbles.)   As for 'dumb' questions: since dumb is traditionally paired with deaf, I presume someone was not really listening. But .....

The ONLY 'stupid' questions are those you FAIL to ask: They are lost opportunities to learn.

     So no matter how 'stupid, dumb, foolish, or silly' you think your question is,  ASK it.
